PROJECT 1:
DESIGNER'S JOURNEY:
ELEMENTS OF DESIGN
TASK
In this assignment, students were to produce an A5 accordion booklet. The content will consist of elaborations and explanations on the design elements observed from black and white photographs, photograph by ourselves. Other than that students were also required to produce one A3 sheet of analysis from the painting Guernica.
MY REFLECTION
What makes a good design? What kick-starts a design? This project aims to introduce architectural design elements and principles, as well as approaches and guidelines when nurturing designs from 2D artworks into 3D forms. We are to work in groups to exchange and execute ideas into tattoo stamps, enhancing them in a series of exploration, until it reaches the final stage- one 3D form that packages our core statement.

REFLECTION
By the end of this project, I familiarized myself with the basic design elements, principles, compositions as well as transformation techniques. I discovered that applying the correct guidelines and approaches enhances the execution of your inner thoughts. My team and I worked hard so that our designs can communicate the way we intended them to. I am grateful to work with people that share the same passion as me. I believe the knowledge learnt in this project is beneficial to all my future projects.

2. THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
My group and I went to refine our designs after getting comments from our tutor.
3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
My group and I exchanged ideas and communicated well.
