PROJECT 1:
DESIGNER'S JOURNEY:
ELEMENTS OF DESIGN
TASK
In this assignment, students were to produce an A5 accordion booklet. The content will consist of elaborations and explanations on the design elements observed from black and white photographs, photograph by ourselves. Other than that students were also required to produce one A3 sheet of analysis from the painting Guernica.
MY REFLECTION
How do you tell a story with architecture? How do you move the audience? What kind of experience do you intend to gain in a space? In project 3, we were to develop our isolation structure from project 2 into a sensory space, sculpting spaces that give off different ambient and moods, tieing it back to a more developed narrative from our isolation experience. While still considering all the aspects taught in the previous 2 projects, this final project challenges us to implement and incorporate them into a unified whole.
DESIGN INTENTION
To explore in a deeper emotional level in orderto construct a sensory space that reflects my journey of "dispel" during self-isolation and the dynamic transition towards acceptance with material and immaterial considerations.

REFLECTION
In this assignment, I was able to dwell in one of my more interested areas in architecture- sensorial experience. I was able to tell a story that is highly relatable to the current social narrative, making my narrative relatable to the audience. I used light as my main media to bring out several components- darkness, texture, colour, range of vision, etc. I was also able to improve my orthographic drawing and tattoo stamps.
1. DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
I learned about sensorial qualities and materiality.
2. THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
I improved my design several times to increase the practicality and builability.
3. INTRAPERSONAL SKILLS
I was able to manage my time wisely in completing the project, while doing extra drawings to communicate my design better.
