PROJECT 1:
DESIGNER'S JOURNEY:
ELEMENTS OF DESIGN
TASK
In this assignment, students were to produce an A5 accordion booklet. The content will consist of elaborations and explanations on the design elements observed from black and white photographs, photograph by ourselves. Other than that students were also required to produce one A3 sheet of analysis from the painting Guernica.
MY REFLECTION
What are diagrams? And what are they for? In this project, we were to dissect and reveal the design decisions and considerations of an assigned building, to discover what seems to be not that obvious to the regular human eye. Upon analyzing and diagramming, we will find out the concept and structure anatomy, as well as its response to user and site, how it works to its advantage with space and circulation planning.

REFLECTION
By the end of this project, I have a better understanding of Coco Art Villas, and I was able to relate the chosen design principle with the architect's vision and intention. I realize that the components analysed work together as a whole, to present a work to its full potential.

1. DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
I learned how to analyse the concepts of a building, and express the content in the form of simple diagrams.

2. THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
My group and I did trial and error to find the best way to diagram the message we wanted to convey.

3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
My group and I exchanged ideas and communicated well.
