PROJECT 1:
DESIGNER'S JOURNEY:
ELEMENTS OF DESIGN
TASK
In this assignment, students were to produce an A5 accordion booklet. The content will consist of elaborations and explanations on the design elements observed from black and white photographs, photograph by ourselves. Other than that students were also required to produce one A3 sheet of analysis from the painting Guernica.
MY REFLECTION
The crafting of "Spatial Experiences" is a key design consideration for architects in their architectural design. The study and exploration of different spatial qualities are important in design because it informs human occupation, behavior , and experience
within architectural spaces. A strong spatial design can touch its users on a deeper emotional or spiritual level.
Project 1 focuses on poetic architecture that forms expressive experiential spatial journey which tell s a story and engage s with the users through their individual senses.

TRANSCEND
DESIGN INTENTION
To narrate the transcending nature of paddy in the metaphysics of space and time in Malaysia, reflecting the state of Malaysians' massive reliance towards the grain that has subsided in our speed-driven contemporary lives, in goals of rekindling the humbling and appreciative values that was taught by the fields.

REFLECTION
In this assignment, I explored wilder approaches in crafting poetic spaces. I learned to be more expressive and elaborate on the narrative and concept we crafted architecturally.
1. DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
Design strategies to craft poetic spaces were able to be applied after doing case studies on similar modifying elements.
2. LIFELONG LEARNING
The team was able to interpret the paddy field in our own ways and approach it in the way that its special to us.
3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
The team was able to make effective conversations and meaningful discussions to come up with a structure that the team was satisfied about.
