WEEK 11: RESEARCH

I first went onto Pinterest to compile some examples as my inspiration.

WEEK 12: IDEA SKETCH

I sketch out my ideas on my sketchbook for the week.

WEEK 13: DOCUMENTATION ON THE MECHANISMS

I then documented the mechanisms that I was interested in, relating it with real-life examples (natural and manmade examples).

WEEK 14: DOCUMENTATION ON THE MECHANISMS

WEEK 15: SKETCH MODELS

With the whole week dedicated to Design Basics, I took my time on the sketch models. After that, I started drafting out my final head garment look, with a strong backstory that reflects my personality.

WEEK 16: FINAL HEAD GARMENT

For week 16, it took me 4 days to complete and retouch the head garment. I finish off the project with photographs of myself wearing the head garment.

1. THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

This assignment tested my ability to understand and apply mechanisms to my design. A functional yet aesthetically pleasing head garment is produced by considering both design and human ergonomics.

2. INTRAPERSONAL SKILLS

With a hectic schedule at weeks 13 and 14, I was not able to complete much of the research. However, I have planned ahead to focus on the project in weeks 15 and 16.

MY REFLECTION

3. DIGITAL LITERACY

With the help of Pinterest, I found it easy to come out with ideas after getting inspiration from other's works and elements from the natural and manmade world.
