PROJECT 1:
DESIGNER'S JOURNEY:
ELEMENTS OF DESIGN
TASK
In this assignment, students were to produce an A5 accordion booklet. The content will consist of elaborations and explanations on the design elements observed from black and white photographs, photograph by ourselves. Other than that students were also required to produce one A3 sheet of analysis from the painting Guernica.
MY REFLECTION
"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." -Scott Adams
ASSIGNMENT 1:
"CREATE A GIFT FOR A SOMEONE YOU CAN'T MEET IN PERSON"
In this assignment, I was first exposed to the five stages of creative thinking. This assignment is a great way for me in getting used to creative thinking. I was required to first understand and find out the likes and dislikes from my friend. It taught me the importance of constructing a problem statement before brain storming ideas, so that all the ideas are consistent and fits the primary objective of the gift itself. A gift that is handmade holds much more value than something bought online!
MY FINAL WORK
MY REFLECTION
In this assignment, each group were assigned a scenario to organize a campaign in creating awareness. Not only does this assignment taught us on how to properly perform case studies and surveys to improve our understanding on what is currently lacking in the field, it led us to think out of the box by following the five creative thinking stages.
It taught us the importance of exploring and applying creative and innovative strategies on how to reach out to our specific target audience via available online platforms.

ASSIGNMENT 2:
"VIRTUAL AWARENESS, NEW NORMAL!"
ASSIGNMENT 3:
"PLAY AND THE ACT OF PLAY"
In this assignment, we were required to understand the concept of play and create an object of play that responds to one or more body parts. This assignment has really pushed me in coming up with bizarre and out-of-the-box ideas in my ideation stage, at the same time to properly execute my ideas into building a prototype that is fully functional.

MY FINAL REFLECTION
This module was an escape for me from all the technical elements of architecture studies. I was given the chance to work with my creative juices, to come up with different creative ideas, designs, aims, and values for each of my assignments. Furthermore, the weekly tutorial classes are useful as it helped me keep track of my progress. I would like to thank our lecturer, Mr Paul for enlightening us on the various theories of creative and critical thinking, such as the way of seeing. I would also like to express my gratitude to Ms Sarah for being with us in every tutorial class, explaining the assignments step-by-step whilst also coming up with activities such as "spot the difference" to make the class interesting.
